Taman Tamadun Islam Terengganu (TTI)


Hello everyone. My name is Nur Atiyah. You all can me Atiyah. I am your tour guide and I do like to welcome you all to Taman Tamadun Islam. I will tell you all about the things you will see. If you have any question, just asking. It’s my job to answer you all. All my time is free to talk to you. Right now I do like to take a minute to familiarize you with the area and discuss some brief safety precautions. I ask that you remain seated until we reach our destination. I promise you are going to enjoy your stay here in Taman Tamadun Islam. Firstly, I want introduce you a little bit of mosque. The mosque is an Arabic word meaning a place of worship. The mosque is a special place of worship, such as prayers and iktikaf, for Muslims. 'refers to prayer in Islam' This building is also the center of culture, muamalat, and the development of the Islamic missionary, as well as the center of the activities of Muslims. Dakwah which means to invite to Islam' The mosque has no fixed form, but depends on the local Muslim community's culture. From a corner of the language, "mosque" means a place of prostration.

Since the beginning of Islam, the Mosque has been used as a place for gathering, discussing and planning strategies that are not limited to dakwah and even trade, legislation, and dissemination of knowledge, and more.

So, do you guys know about Taman Tamadun Islam ? Taman Tamadun Islam (TTI) is a theme park that features the legacy of Islamic heritage and architecture from all corners of the world located on Wan Man Island, Kuala Terengganu which was previously considered uninhabited and filled with nipah forest. This theme park is one of the economic development projects of the East Coast Economic Region.

The theme park started in March 2005 is not only surrounded by replicas of mosques from all over the world, but a mosque which is also a new landmark of Kuala Terengganu, the Crystal Mosque, stands majestically there.

Taman Tamadun Islam
Taman Tamadun Islam located in Wan Man Island, Terengganu is the only Islamic theme park in the world in terms of design and culture. It highlighted the superiority of Islam in architecture especially in the making of the mosque. Nearly 65% of the theme park construction process is getting a touch of local contractors and talent while the rest is taken from overseas expertise. About 21 monuments were developed within this theme park on a scale of 1: 8 from the original size.

In some monuments there is a video viewing facility to provide information. It is charged with a ticket of RM10.00 for adults, Rm5.00 for children and RM5.00 for senior citizens aged over 60 years. For non-Malaysians it is charged at Rm20 per person. Upon payment you will be given a small booklet called a passport containing brief information of each monument you will be stamped as a sign of your visit, for further visits there are certain special pieces offered by the garden but be sure to bring the passport when visiting the park for next time.
Facilities such as trams, bicycles and cars can be rented to facilitate your travel in the park. To take the tram, you are charged RM3.00 and for bicycle rental is RM3.00. Meanwhile, the cost of buggy rentals is around RM35.00 to RM45.00 according to size. Public toilets are also available in this theme park for visitor convenience.

Crystal Mosque
After visiting the monument park, visitors must visit the very beautiful and unique Crystal Mosque. The Crystal Mosque is built on the Terengganu River and looks floating on a cruise on Sungai Terengganu. There you can stop for prayer or take pictures as memories in the mosque.
The mosque is constructed of glass and steel, the first smart mosque in Malaysia and has an area of 2,146 square meters. The mosque can accommodate 700 pilgrims at one time and is equipped with information technology and WiFi coverage that allows visitors to use internet access facilities to read the Al-Qur'an electronic.

Convention Center
As the largest convention hall in the East Coast, the TTI convention center can be considered the jewel in the crown of this brilliantly planned park. Able to accommodate 2500 participants at any one time, this immensely airy convention center is also amply outfitted with advanced audio visual and multimedia equipment to cater to a wide range of events and ceremonies. A public and expensive event involving third parties such as the media, security services or foreign organizations, the TTI Convention Center is ready to serve you.
A superbly spacious hall with 2000 square meters of floor space, it has seen the likes of many national and international events, of various kinds. The most elaborate event to date was the Islamic Arts Night 2009 and the convocation for students from the Islamic College of Science and Technology.
As a versatile event venue, this huge hall was also transformed into a studio for the shooting of a popular regional television programme aired on the ASTRO OASIS channel. Ar-Rayyan, a religious talk show hosted by Dato’ Dr Fatma El Zahra, had its third season filmed in mid-2009 at the TTI’s main convention hall.

Warrior Park
From the Saracens of the Crusade, to the famed Persian archers on horseback, to the last of the Uthmaniyah or Ottoman army, the Islamic Empire had seen many a warrior in the illustrious world history. As a commemorative note, this park pays tribute to all Muslims of yesteryear who struggled in the name of Islam.
Here, visitors are able to enjoy a variety of outdoor activities such as jogging on the prepared paths, or watching their children have the time of their lives at the playground, or more interestingly, enjoy a leisurely lap around the lake in a paddle boat.

TTI River Cruise
TTI River Cruise provides a unique and different experience for you. The guided cruise, which enables you to enjoy the serene splendor of Terengganu River. To Ku Paloh is the embarkation point, from which will take you an enchanting cruise into the past and present development as the cruise guide recounts the historical significance of the various attractions upstream as well as downstream.

Come onboard our cruise boat which take 45 minutes sightseeing tour around the Muara Terengganu River comfortably to capture an amazing view of small island surround. As the boat cruises past the many astonishing landmarks, you can enjoy a fantastic feel from the rushing breeze and view.


In conclusion, the state of Terengganu is a place that can be used as a local tourist destination and foreign tourists. Many more places will be introduced so that people can better understand and understand the tourist spots in our country. These tourism and historic places should be kept together in order to maintain the beauty and uniqueness of Malaysia
